Roeder Kinkel
![]() Roeder Kinkel’s work is a diverse collection of mixed media that often appears to be sculpted as well as rendered. He often incorporates the same bold, colorful textures that he uses in his paintings into their framework, creating completely finished pieces. The artwork includes expressive abstracts, striking female nudes, vibrant landscapes, seascapes, and paintings of fanciful fish, all rendered with a unique kind of “animated realism.” A native of Amherst, New York, Roeder studied at the College of Liberal Arts, State University of New York at Buffalo, and at the College of Visual Arts in Berlin, Germany. He works out of a studio at City Market, and lives on Tybee Island, Georgia
